The Simple Version (TL;DR)
Your bank statement PDFs are deleted the moment conversion is done. We store account info and conversion counts never your actual financial transactions.
1. Overview
MintConvert processes bank statement PDFs to extract and structure transaction data into CSV, Excel, and JSON formats. Our system is built on a zero-retention architecture: uploaded files are processed ephemerally and deleted immediately. We do not build databases of financial records.
2. Account Data
When you create an account via Google OAuth, we store your name, email address, and Google profile picture URL. This data is used solely to operate and manage your account and subscription counts.
3. Volatile File Processing
Uploaded PDF files are loaded into volatile processing memory and permanently deleted immediately upon conversion completion. The original file is never written to persistent storage, object stores, or databases.
4. Conversion Output
Output files are generated in memory and streamed directly to your browser. Files are not stored on our servers after delivery. If you navigate away before downloading, the file is permanently gone.
5. Conversion Metadata
We store limited metadata for abuse prevention: timestamp, detected bank name, and success status. We do not store transaction values, account numbers, or account holder names.
6. Payment Security
Subscription processing is handled by Dodo Payments. MintConvert does not collect or store your card number or CVV. We retain only the identifiers necessary to manage your billing history.
7. Analytics & Security
We use TLS encryption for all data in transit. Analytics via Vercel and PostHog are anonymized and never linked to your financial documents or uploaded content.
8. Data Retention
PDFs: deleted immediately. Account data: retained while active. Payment records: 7 years per statutory requirements. Analytics: anonymized indefinitely.
